At a special service held in St Catherine's Church in Gorseinon on Sunday 20 November 2016, the people of Gorseinon said a fond farewell to their Vicar for more than six years, Reverend Martin Cox, and his wife Barbara. They leave the Parish today as Martin begins a new ministry in Narberth in the Diocese of St Davids.
After the service, tributes were paid to Martin and Barbara by the Church Wardens, Heather Culliford and Dhandayah Williams, by the Branch Leader of the Mothers' Union, Beryl Evans, and by the Curates, Reverend Dr Adrian Morgan and Reverend Glynne James.
They thanked him for his years of devoted service and for the love and care that he had shown to the people of Gorseinon during his time as Vicar of the Parish.
Martin will be inducted as Vicar of Narberth on Sunday 27 November 2016.
