Ways to Give

Give regularly by Standing Order

Monthly giving is vital to our mission as it enables us to plan impactful, long-term projects to reach more people with the love of Jesus.

To set up or amend a standing order, log in to your online banking or visit your local branch with StC’s bank account details:

St Catherine’s Church, Gorseinon
Account Number: 40-52-40
Sort Code: 00016714

Quote reference as: your first name and surname.

Once you have set up or amended your standing order, please email us so we can identify your gift and thank you.

Gift Direct

Giving to StC via Direct Debit using the Church in Wales Gift Direct Scheme is easy. Simply pick up a form at one of our Sunday services (download it, or give us a call and we’ll send you a copy in the post), fill it in and return it directly to the Church in Wales, or to a member of our staff team.

The Church in Wales will send us your donation in full each month and, if you are a tax payer, they will even claim the Gift Aid for us too.

Give at a Sunday Service

You can give by cash, cheque, credit or debit card, or set up a new standing order at any Sunday service by using a giving envelope and adding it to the offering.

If you are a UK taxpayer, please consider filling in the Gift Aid declaration on the envelope to make your gift go even further.

Easy Fundraising

Help StC each time you shop online with more than 3,714 different retailers with Easy Fundraising, the UK’s biggest charity shopping fundraising site.

It’s easy to use and it’s free.

AmazonSmile

Help StC each time you shop on Amazon by signing up to AmazonSmile. Amazon will donate 0.5% of the net purchase price (excluding VAT, returns and shipping fees) from your eligible AmazonSmile purchases to StC. This is at no additional cost to you.

StC appears on Amazon under our registered name as: The Parochial Church Council of the Ecclesiastical Parish of St Catherine’s.

Give a one-off gift or set up a recurring gift online via our website

Click the ‘Give Now’ button at the top of the page to set up a regular gift or to give a one-off gift. If you are a UK taxpayer, please consider ticking the Gift Aid declaration to make your gift go even further.

Send a Cheque

To give via cheque, please make the cheque out to ‘St Catherine's Church, Gorseinon’ and either give it via an envelope at a Sunday service or post it to the address below.

Gift Aid

If you pay Income Tax or Capital Gains Tax in the UK, we can claim back 25p on every £1 you donate through the Gift Aid scheme. To permit us to do this, please complete the Gift Aid Declaration at the bottom of this page.

If you pay tax above the basic rate, you can personally claim the difference between the rate you pay and basic rate on your donation (25%). You can do this either through your self-assessment tax return, or by asking HMRC to amend your tax code.

Leave a Legacy

If you are considering making a bequest to StC or have already included a gift to StC in your will and would like to speak to someone about legacy giving, please get in touch.

Declaration

Please claim Gift Aid on my donations to St Catherine’s Church, Gorseinon (Charity Number 11334662).

This includes all donations for this year and the previous four years, plus any future donations, unless I notify you otherwise.

I confirm that I am a UK taxpayer and have paid or will pay sufficient Income or Capital Gains tax in each tax year to cover all the tax that will be reclaimed by all the charities or Community Amateur Sports Clubs to which I have made Gift Aid donations in any tax year covered by this declaration. I understand that I am responsible for paying any tax shortfall.

Please let us know if any of your personal details change, or if you no longer pay sufficient tax on your income and/or capital gains.

How will we use your information?

We will use your details to process your gift, thank you for your donation, to recover Gift Aid (where relevant) and to contact you in relation to future gifts and giving.
