More than 90 people – including many who had never been in church before – were treated to a free breakfast at St Catherine’s Church in Gorseinon at the weekend.
The buffet breakfast included a children’s corner for younger diners and featured a short talk from Mones Farah.
Rev’d Dr Adrian Morgan, Assistant Curate of Gorseinon, said: “We hosted a free breakfast for our community because we know how much God has blessed us as a Church Family and that he calls us to bless others in the same way."
“It was a resounding success with more than 90 people of all ages coming along, many of whom had never been inside the church before.
“Mones Farah gave a short Gospel message in a clear and relevant way to encourage people to think about the hope and blessing that we as Christians have in Jesus. We will be praying now that God will grow the seeds of faith, hope and love that have been sown in His name.
“We tried to invite the whole community and many came simply because they saw the advert that we placed on social media. The children’s corner was busy, giving young mums a few precious moments to enjoy breakfast together. People spoke of how they had enjoyed meeting new friends and of how they had been encouraged and inspired by the event.”
